Four in Knoydart

Graham on Skye
George Hamilton, 8 September 2014

What a fantastic weekend, and here I thought doing a Graham would be an easy outing, far from it.

A full horseshoe walk taking in Glamaig at the finish made for a very enjoyable, energetic and tiring walk. We started in light showery weather which turned a little heavy later on before turning to bright sunshine and a lovely finish to our day.

Once onto the grass slopes of Glamaig we sat for a good while just soaking up the rays, before finally heading to the hotel via a quick stop at the bunkhouse to drop off our sacs. At the Hotel we enjoyed a couple of relaxing pints before heading back up to the bunkhouse for dinner. Breaking with tradition, the kettle was put on and we enjoyed a coffee and cream cake as we prepared dinner. With it just being the 5 of us, we had prepared a communal dinner of tomato soup followed by Lasagne, salad and Garlic bread. It was fantastic, the dinner was accompanied with just enough beer and wine to loosen the tongues, but not too much.

After Dinner......... Well after Dinner what goes on tour stays on tour. All that I can say is we had a very enjoyable and memorable weekend.
