Club Membership
Membership fees are £30 per person for 2023-24. CBMC is a non-profit making club. Benefits include membership of Mountaineering Scotland (a large chunk of the membership fee goes to MS), insurance, discounts at various shops and access to the club Facebook and chat pages. We don’t offer membership to people under 18 but they are welcome to come on club outings if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Still not sure?
We appreciate that it can be quite daunting to launch yourself into a new group, and even into a new pastime. We are passionate about the Scottish hills (no, we really are, but we're also there for the craic and the laughter), and we want to help others to enjoy them too.
So, for those who need it, we have a buddy system, to encourage you to come out with us, advise you on what kit to get and bring, lend you stuff that you might need, and generally help you through the difficulties of the first few outings.
